The first SquAir batch will be produced through a limited preorder. Once we reach the minimum number of orders required for production, we’ll begin making SquAir in small batches.

The Pause Modern Work Forgot
We built Carpio wrist rest to help prevent wrist and shoulder strain injuries happening from something as ordinary as typing.
But after years at desks ourselves, we noticed a different problem. Not in the hands, but in the head.
In a world obsessed with optimization, constant motion has become the default. Emails, meetings, messages. Every screen and notification pulls us toward what's next.
Yet some of our most meaningful work happens in the moments between.
Unproductive Ritual For Better Work
Working across Southeast Asia, something was different.
Rituals are still woven into everyday life. A cup of tea. An offering. A scent in the air. At first they seem irrational, they don't save time, don't optimize anything.
But they create transitions. A boundary between one moment and the next.
SquAir was created from that insight: an unproductive ritual for better work. Not another tool asking you to do more, but something to reach for in the space between.
Finding the Right Feel
We explored 27 different forms, proportions, materials and lattice structures to understand how each changed the interaction.
Some felt too soft. Others too rigid. Different geometries changed where the object compressed, how quickly it returned to shape and how naturally it could be squeezed, pressed, rubbed, rotated or held.
The current design balances satisfying resistance, reliable rebound, varied interaction and passive airflow for the scent insert.

What does SquAir feel like?
SquAir feels responsive rather than soft or mushy. Its open lattice gives under pressure, pushes back as you squeeze and returns to shape when released.
There is no single required grip. You can squeeze it from different sides, press it with your fingers, rotate it in your palm or simply hold it. This variety is designed to make SquAir approachable across different hand sizes and interaction preferences.
Will SquAir fit my hand?
SquAir has been tested across a range of hand sizes and fits most hands. There is no fixed grip, so you can squeeze, press or hold it in whatever way feels most natural for your hand.
Is SquAir just a stress ball?
It can provide the satisfying squeeze people expect from a stress ball, but it is designed for more varied interaction and everyday desk use. Its engineered lattice, personal scent insert, quiet operation and permanent desk-ready form make it a different kind of object.
Is SquAir quiet?
SquAir contains no buttons, magnets or clicky mechanisms. It is designed for quiet interaction during calls, meetings and shared workspaces.
Will SquAir return to shape and hold up over time?
SquAir’s flexible elastomer lattice is designed to compress, rebound and return to its original form after release. It has been developed for repeated everyday interaction.
Is SquAir easy to clean?
Yes. Remove the scent insert before cleaning the body. The lattice structure can be rinsed with warm water if needed. Allow it to dry completely, then replace the insert.
How strong is the scent?
SquAir is designed for personal, close-range scent rather than continuously fragrancing the entire room.
Leave it on your desk for a subtler presence or bring it closer when you want a more noticeable scent moment.
We are still actively testing and adjusting the final scent radius and strength based on customer feedback.
How long does the scent last?
Depending on room size and airflow, it typically lasts 4–6 weeks. You'll notice the scent gradually fading rather than cutting off suddenly.
Where can I get replacement scents?
Replacement scent pucks will be available separately on our website. Estimated price for a 3-pack: $9.90 (12-18 weeks supply).
We'll be adding new scents over time.
Can I use third-party scent inserts?
SquAir's scent pocket is designed for our original scent inserts, which are sized to fit correctly and diffuse at the right rate. Third-party inserts may vary in size and performance.
Can I use SquAir without scent?
Yes. The tactile object works independently of the scent insert, so you can remove the insert or continue using SquAir after the fragrance fades.
